ZTS 110GHz Coaxial Fixed Attenuator

The ZFA1-110B-YA from ZTS Components is an RF Attenuator that operates from DC to 110 GHz. It can handle an average input power of 1 W, a peak power of 5 W, and has a VSWR of less than 1.60:1. This attenuator has 1.0mm connectors and can operate over a temperature range of -55℃ to +100℃.


110GHz Fixed Attenuators:


Core Definition: A passive RF/microwave device operating in the 110GHz (mmWave band) frequency range. It is used to precisely and consistently reduce signal power in circuits without changing other signal characteristics (such as frequency and waveform).Main Application Areas:


1. mmWave Communication Systems: These are used in applications such as 5G millimeter-wave base stations and satellite communications (Ka-band and above) to balance signal power in transmit/receive links and prevent device overload.


2. Radar and Remote Sensing: These are used in weather radar, automotive mmWave radar (with extended applications in the 77/79GHz band), and aerospace remote sensing equipment to adjust radar signal amplitude and ensure detection accuracy.


3. Test and Measurement: These devices are used with instruments such as vector network analyzers (VNAs) to perform performance testing of components (such as amplifiers and filters) operating in the 110GHz band, simulating the power loss experienced in actual links.


4. Electronic Countermeasures (ECM): In military electronic systems, it is used to control the power of jamming signals to prevent interference to the equipment itself, while also precisely releasing jamming signals.


5. Scientific Research and Medical: For example, millimeter-wave imaging (security inspection, medical diagnosis) and high-frequency signal conditioning in particle physics experiments stabilize signal strength to ensure normal equipment operation.
